It Is Illegal For Any Policeman To Ask For Vehicle Particulars On Highways – AIG
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Zone 11, Mr. Dan Bature, has declared illegal the checking of vehicle particulars on express roads.
Mr Dan Bature, says any policeman checking vehicle particulars on the highways is on illegal duty.
The AIG whose zone 11 comprises Oyo, Osun and Ondo made this announcement on Wednesday in Ibadan during a two-day familiarisation visit to Oyo State.
He said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) was focused on changing the bad image of the police and supporting the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government.
Oyo state government and the Police Community Relation Committee were praised by the AIG for the successes they have recorded in the fight against crime.
